A definite must do if youre in Canmore. Friendly, supportive and professional guides. Extremely knowledgable about the cave and the area. If they have the availability, i would go for the adventure tour!

Having a love for hiking and nature, I booked this tour because I wanted to explore the Rockies from a different perspective. My husband, my father and I went on the 6-hour Adventure Tour. From start to finish, the booking process, customer service, and the actual tour were exceptional. We have been on cave tours before, but never a CAVING tour. This was truly a unique experience and involved much more than simply walking through a beautiful cave. We were glad we booked the longer (Adventure) tour. We also appreciated the small group sizes, which allowed a personalized experience. The rappel and squeezes were intimidating at first, but our group soon became quite comfortable with trying the different maneuvers. Our guide Brent was patient, knowledgeable, and supremely competent. His enthusiasm for cave exploration and preservation was evident, and we learned so much from him! Provided you have a semi-moderate fitness level and you are open to trying a new challenge, I recommend this activity! Definitely wear good footwear. Also, if you book the 6-hour Adventure Tour, I wouldn't plan other major excursions on the same day. You will be ready for a well-deserved meal and a relaxing patio/fireside after :).

We went on my husband’s first cave tour yesterday (number 3 for me) and it was so much fun! John, our guide, was very knowledgeable of the area, the plants, the rock formations, and more and his experience definitely added to the adventure. Although John was our guide, I do believe every guide would be just as patient and understanding about new beginners to caving. When he said he was going slow up the hike, I thought like an easy walk. No he really meant SLOW! But that made it perfect to see the views and to allow members of our whole group to be a part of the experience without lagging behind. Lots of crawling, sliding, and small amounts of squeezing. It was just perfect and would definitely go again (maybe for a longer one next time)!

A fun and unique experience not to be missed! Our guide, John, was patient, knowledgeable, and encouraged us to push past our comfort zones in a safe and empowering way. We learned so much about the history of the area and the cave and had a blast while doing so!

An awesome experience. The ‘wildness’ of the caves was super special and our guide Tiffany was inspiringly enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Would definitely cave again after having done this - it was one of the most memorable parts of my time in Canada.

This. Was. An. Adventure. One of the best activities I have done in Camore (and Banff). Started off at the office with a quick orientation about the cave and picked up our gear. Drove to the trail head where we had a short hike to the entrance of the cave. Changed to our coveralls and off we went! We got to climb, slide down some rocks and squeeze into some spaces. It was a thrill! My friends and I did the Explorer tour which was a great introduction to the cave since I will definitely come back to do the Adventure tour. Huge shout out to our guide, Jamie. She was great all throughout, really approachable, knowledgeable and had great energy.

This cave tour was fantastic ! I made the 2 hours and a half tour with my 2 sons (12 and 14) for my birthday and we really loved it. Jamie our guide made the tour even more interesting with all the fun facts she gave us all along (and she speaks french 🤗). Right after we exited the cave my kids asked me to sign us up for the 4,5 hours tour ! Thank you Canmore Cave Tours for make this thrilling experience very smooth and fun.

AMAZING!! Going into this we had never done anything like this before and it was something we will never forget. We went on the explorer package. That kept us in the cave for around 2hrs 30mins. There is another package "Adventurer" that you get to stay in the cave for longer and we will gladly be doing that package next time! Our guide (Brent) was very knowledgeable and so much fun to take us on this adventure and if i was to go again i would gladly ask for him to be our guide! It started off with a 30-40min hike and the view is amazing. Once you get to the cave you get to really feel like it was exploring the cave and not just a tourist thing. You get to climb, slide, squeeze and crawl beautiful places you will love to see, all to the sounds of a knowledgeable guide telling you not just about the cave but all aound the history, rock make up and all kinds of Information that adds to the adventure. The 2hrs underground felt so short as it was amazingly fun and each room we climb into kept getting more and more grand! We will gladly be going back for another round in the winter as the cave keeps the same temperature in both winter and summer. I cant speak any higher of the amazing time we had and how much fun we had. We cant wait to go back for another dive into Rat's Nest Cave!! Edit: When we booked online, we got there "gopro" rental and 2 days later we got an AMAZING!!! (Thanks Conner) video that was edited BEAUTIFULLY and around 2hrs of raw footage to use however we want. I would highly recommend it, as it was just set it up on my helmet and forget till we got back! I thought i couldnt speak any higher of the tour. I was wrong. The videos, pictures and amazing edited video from them i will share, show and tell everyone that will listen. I will 100% be going back and thanks to everyone at Canmore Cave Tours for starting a passion in the new hobby for me and my girlfriend!! Amazing. Just amazing.
